EXHIBITIONS & EVENTS:
MARCH:
Worli – Paintings by Kuzana Ogg
Ogg’s abstract, yet detailed and layered
paintings are inspired by the colors, textures and energy of her
native India. Composed of largely organic shapes and vibrant colors,
her elegant images are reminiscent of lush tropical foliage and the
shimmer of silk saris. Kuzana Ogg is an emerging artist who is
steadily gaining recognition on a national level. This is her second
solo show at Matrix Fine Art.
Exhibition dates:
March 5 - 27
(Early Bird Preview: March 2 - 5)
First Friday Artscrawl Reception:
March 5, 5 – 8:00 PM
APRIL:
Frontlit/Backlit - Paintings by Sarah
Hartshorne
Hartshorne’s realistic oil paintings
capture the unique in the ordinary, the beauty in the mundane.
Although this particular exhibition focuses on her mouth-watering
still lives, she paints what so often goes unnoticed at our hectic
modern pace: the unusual angle of a fork next to a gracefully draped
napkin, or, the way a wine glass reflects the nearby candle light.
Hartshorne explores the play of light and shadow, and brings her
subjects alive with color. This is her first solo show at Matrix
Fine Art.
Exhibition dates:
April 2 – May 1
(Early Bird Preview: March 30 – April 2)
First Friday Artscrawl
Reception: April 2, 5 – 8:00 PM
MAY:
Life Cycles – Photography by Mary
Zaremba
Zaremba’s color photography boldly celebrates life
past its prime. Her images capture the
enduring and nearly otherworldly
beauty of botanicals as they transform through varying
natural states of decay. Zaremba’s elegant sensibility turns these
detailed and intimate flower portraits into timeless images. This is
Zaremba’s second solo show at Matrix Fine Art.
Exhibition dates:
May 7 – 29
(Early Bird Preview: May 4 - 7)
First Friday Artscrawl Reception:
