Frank McCulloch (1930-present) was born in Gallup, New Mexico and has been a local legend for more than 50 years. Most interested in capturing the color and light of New Mexico, McCulloch’s painting career has spanned early abstraction and vibrant, regional landscapes and skies. Prolific and well respected in visual art, education and mentoring, McCulloch’s work is featured in numerous major collections and over the years, he’s received a variety of awards and honors, including a PBS feature.  In 2008, McCulloch was honored with a retrospective exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum and he has received the New Mexico Governor’s Award in the Arts, University of New Mexico Distinguished Alumnus of the Year, Albuquerque Arts Alliance Bravos Award, and the title of AABA Local Treasure, plus featured publications, including: Southwest Art Magazine, New Mexico Magazine, Art News, and American Artist. Among McCulloch’s noteworthy students are local painter Angus Macpherson

Triptych is a multi-plate gravure, harkening back to McCulloch’s early abstract landscapes. This gravure was published by New Grounds Print Workshop and Gallery as part of our Collector’s Club.
